purple carpet haddoni or gigantea?

Sebae anemones (H. crispa or malu) fold up like that all the time, especially when they are disturbed a little.
I also think H. crispa or H. malu. The little bit of sand that it has picked up on its underside in the first pic, solidifies it for me.

I think the tentacle structure alone points away from being either Haddoni or Gigantea. It's definitely not magnifica.

I would say H. Crispa.

does h.crispa considered a carpet anemone.i also got more pics of it since settled.but no pics of the bottom im scared to moved it.

here's another pic.maybe it could help to identify it.

One of the things that happens during the collection/transport/holding of anemones, but H. crispa specifically, is they are not typically fed and they are stressed. This lack of food and stress causes the tentacles of most anemones to shorten. It tends to be very dramatic in H. crispa. If you can keep this guy alive for a few months, its tentacles will become longer.

hye phender.i've been following your posting on helping others and it seems that you know a lot.do u think i should still take pics of the underside.

i was hoping for something other than h.crispa or h.malu.i heard they're pretty difficult to maintain.i dont think im that experienced.

Though I've seen a few claim otherwise, most people I've met wouldn't consider a gigantea much (if at all) easier than a sebae...
