Purple Crab ID

It looks like a gorilla crab but not definite. Are the legs hairy?

It's definitely not reef safe. Toss it in your sump.

No the legs are not hairy.

I see big black claws there. As a general concern I'd sump it or sell to lfs.

I had one that was brown that looked just like this. I forget its name though. Not reef safe. But you can safely put them in fish only tanks. They're soft coral eaters and an uncommon relative of the mithrax crabs. Gets about 3 inches across. It'll be fine in your sump

I find it amazing that I can't ID this guy. Wasted, I mean spent a lot of time with google images. Nothing. He's in a 29g with a few other inverts. Hides all the time. Oh well!

This one is purple as well. He hides all the time. Doesn't bother any tank mates.
