purple cyano?

I have this purple algae that looks very similar to the typical red cyano. Does anyone know what this may be? It is a real pretty purple color, but I don't want it in my tank. Please help if you can.

TIA

If it blows off the rock easily, it's cyno. Could be part of the cycle process or you may have excessive phosphates/nitrates.

Try to get more flow over the area where this developes. Your equipment seems adequate so I'd put my money on flow. Eventually, all the nutrients will get depleted granting nothing goes horribly wrong. My 20g gets fed 3 times a day and gets plankton daily and I don't get cyano. It's also a 3 yr old system..:)

Thanks for the assistance. It is very cyano like, but purple. I will put the tunze's lower in the tank to see what this does to the unwanted algae.
