I've seen them sell from $ 50 to $ 100 a polyp.

Nuclear Greens look much nicer, but I wouldn't mine having the Purple Deaths either. Just take a look at Marvin's picture. I just can't wait to get mine.

To answer your question, I have seen purple deaths selling from $35 to $50 lately. Being that Creetin, the owner of the original "purple deaths", is here Michigan I think we have more of them circulating around this area which probably has the market price slightly lower in the Michigan market.

Thats cool. Im not looking to sell them, but if i wanted to do a trade later on i just wanted to know a round about price. I know they arent that common in CA.

I bought mine for $50/polyp and have been selling frags of 2 polyps for $50, so around 25/polyp. I'm in michigan though and like the previous poster was saying, I feel like the market for them around here is a lot more flooded than the general market. To me they were worth the $50 because they are colorful, super hardy and fast growers in seemingly any conditions - nice for someone like me who hasn't exactly mastered the art of reefkeeping yet
