Purple efflatounaria

I saw this coral for the first time and can't find much info on it. Other than seems hardy, Sanjay and vho lighting. I really like it and would love to learn more about it.

this? that's just xenia, I don't know if it is truely purple, might just be the lighting?

ok, after looking at it for awhile, it does look slightly different from xenia, but not much. He says it doesn't pulse, but xenia can just stop at any time for no reason.

edit: to me the main difference, other than the bright purple, is that is has white spots on it

edit2: eh, I don't know lol

It's a Xeniid, but not a Xenia sp. There is debate-Efflatounaria or Cespitularia. I have a purple one similar to that one (not as purple from the top, but close). My LFS has it, also, and it spreads like Xenia. He has it everywhere. It hasn't grown much for me over three years, though.

The one I've been calling Cespitularia is much more exciting. It hasn't grown much for me, either. Right now, they aren't growing much at all for me and staying on their plugs. They look much better from the top (or in the case of the electric blue cespit, a flashlight does the trick). Through glass, they sometimes aren't much to look at...
