Purple gorgonian question

I just got a large purple gorgonian, and had a few questions about placement. The spot I've choosen is partially under the over-flow box, and I'm wondering about lighting. The bulk of the coral is in the open under the lights, but one branch is kinda of in a shadow under the over-flow box, is this a big deal? Second question, how far from other corals does this need to be? My lights are T5's. Thanks for your help.

The best place for them is where they will get the most flow. The lighting doesn't seem to be super important to them. I have several under T5's with no trouble.
