Purple Linckia Starfish?

I have a 29 gallon Biocube, and have had it cycling for about a week. My Specific Gravity is 1.027 and I have 2 scarlet hermits, and 4 astria snails. I have had my eye on this purple Linckia Starfish at the LFS. Can he go in my tank? -Blake

p.s. I will be adding False Perculas/ocellires Clowns soon

The tank is too small to support the star long term. Having such a new tank further stacks the odds against you.

Also they are quite delicate. It is a "small" tank, and also these starfish really need mature reef-tanks.

Why not adding some shrimps??? They funny, colorful, somewhat easy to keep and cool.

LaloV. and greenbean36191 took the words right out of my mouth. A mature tank of atleast a year or so and bigger tank is the key. Strict water parameters have to be adhered to as well. With your tank only being a week into the cycle, i'm afraid you are going to lose your hermits and snails because of the rigors of a cycle!!!! I would remove them while they are still alive.
What are you using for the cycle(damsels etc.)?
Linkia are beautiful, but wait til your tank is more mature and possibly go with a Brittle or Serpent Sea Star instead?!!!
