My purple long tentacle anemome is not attaching its foot. It's been in my 135g reef tank for about one week. It just keeps tumbling all over my tank. How do I get my anemone to attach its foot?

How deep is your sand bed?
What lights do you have?

What has worked for me is turning off some (( or all, depending )) of the pumps, and digging a hole in the sandbed for it. Sometimes, depending on the size of the LTA, placing some rocks around it helps too.

I have a 3 inch sand bed. I'm running 3 150 w 14k HQI bulbs and actinics. My tanks has two #4 Koralia at each end. I've turned off one side of the #4 Koralia and tried to place the LTA in the corner but it just flips on it's mouth and the foot is up. The LTA still opens up and tentacles enlarged but the foot is not sticking???

Do you know what lights it was under? And did you acclimate it to the lights?

How big is the LTA? Depending on the size of the LTA, might want to make the area around it a bit deeper (( the sandbed that is ))

I wedged it between two rocks and turned off the Korlia. Hopefully the LTA will stay there in the morning. I hope I won't find it upside down in the morning.

i just got my PLTA today, and put him right on top of my rocks, and he was stuck in a crevice in about 5 min, hes under 250w 12k lumenbright, how didyous look when you got it? were its tentacles purple?

I wouldn't expect it to stay in the rock for too long. LTAs (( Macrodactyla doreensis )) are sand dwelling anemones.

Yeah I realize that, but my other long tentacle moved up the overflow closer to the light so I put this one up near it so hopefully it would stay
