Purple LTA

Is the color purple really a natural color of these anemones or are enhanced in some way? Do these purple LTAs keep their color, or does it fade with age? I've heard of anemones being dyed, and couldn't find any hard info on the natural colors of LTAs besides pictures shown on vendors webpages. Thanks!

Purple is somewhat uncommon but a natural color for sure, some are prettier than others. With that being said, a photo to rule out being dyed would be required, it's still possible that it was dyed. The rarest LTA coloration (to my knowledge) are the red/pink ones, my brother had one and it was drop-dead gorgeous.

The LTA wasn't very settled in in this photo but it's a fair representation of the color, I wish he could've saved that as it was such a beautiful anemone.

These go for $300-600 depending on who you buy from, purples usually range between $60-150 (but this will vary of course, I'm not going by wholesale or anything). Do note that some purples aren't very good looking and can have good bit of brown in them (from what I've personally seen), but some can be really beautiful.

I have a purple LTA. Got it very small, not much bigger than a thumbnail. It's 9" now.
