Purple Monster???

I need some opinions. Do you think this is a Purple Monster? It's not mine, it's one I'm considering buying..... It's being sold as a Purple Monster, and references are being made to Tyree. Seller is calling it a Purple Monster, but NOT calling it a Tyree Purple Monster.

Doesn't look like it to me. Check here under limited edition acroporas. The Tyree website shows it to have much thicker branches, IMO.

The branch thickness is exactly what had me questioning it's lineage. The seller cannot provide lineage, nor is he claiming it's a Tyree. However, the price he's asking, reflects a Tyree...lol.

It'd sure make a nice show piece, in my tank. Now just gotta figure out what I'm willing to pay...lol.

I don't see white polyps on that piece, maybe i m wrong but i got the true purple monster from Dang and it has white Polyps
also the poylps you cant see on this picture have really big holes for them to come out of if that makes any sense, dosnt look like mine or the ones i have seen.

I don't know if he's come up with an exact asking price, but he's asking too much...lol. The amount of $1000.00 was tossed around for a bit, laughably. I think finding out that it isn't a true PM deflated his sails a bit.

I got the true PM from Dang as well, but lost it, when my tank crashed, last November.

so you know what they look like then. $1000.00 good joke! i would hate to offend anybody but with the damage that colony has in the picture and depending on how far away you were going to get it i would personally pay up to $250 for the colony if it were me. if he didn't like that then buy a nice frag for $50-$75 and let it grow. you arnt dead yet, you got time.

that thing is probably pretty old now i would guess he started growing that thing 3 years ago. so maybe i dont know what i m talking about
