Purple monti ... has 'lightened-up' ?

I got a purple monti 1" frag a bit over a year ago at one of the Chicago events. It now has grown to more than 5" across (flat) but letely, the color has lightened up dramatically. I can still see a hue of purple, but it is not as dark as before. I am not 'religious' about water changes, but I supplement regulary with Iodion, Strontium, Clacium, and Brightwell mulit-something, and use a phosphate absorbing mix in an off-tank canister.

Any clue why it would lighten up in color?

Ca: 480-500
Ph: 8.2
Phosphate/Nitrate: Very Low

If u have no test for the stuff u putting in your tank don't even add this iodine, strontium just to name a few. A simple water change using a good salt mix every 2weeks will benefit ur tank with good result. A must have test kits, Alkalinity, Calcium, Mag, Phos., Nitrate u should be more concern about this than anything else. Hope this helps
