I think all the LFS take frags in. You might think about selling them to them for store credit.

From what I've seen, the stores give 1/3 of what they'd sell for, which isn't bad, especially on items like mushrooms and xenia. At Coral Reef, a 3" high piece of xenia will sell for $15, so you'd most likely get $5 for it.

Am I correct about the 1/3 credit holding true at AM also? Of course it will also vary a bit depending on what employee is taking it in, but I doubt they vary too much. I'm just basing this on what I've seen and been told. I've not grown enough to trade in stuff yet. I did return some crabs and got 1/3 back on them, but that was better than nothing.

That sounds about right to me. Haven't done any swapping with CR lately though. Really a very fair price considering their overhead and convenience.
