Purple people eater placement question

Hi! im new to the forums, but anyway I just bough Purple people eater zoanthids. I have a JBJ 28 with 105 watt power compacts, I need to know where I should place my PPE. Right now I have them at the top about 6 inches from the light.

Top is a good place to put them, the PPEs (in my experience) enjoy light, just don't over do it.

Did you just start the JBJ? If so, I recommend upgrading lights.

yeah I have had for almost 2 months. I want to get a jbj 150 watt viper halide

Hopefully you didn't bleach your zoas.
You need to adapt them to your light first and not close to the surface/light after just getting them out of another system.
New colonies should be placed on the sand first and then moved slowly to where you would like to have them.

Agree with Grandis, start low and bring up slowly until you find the ideal location....

I keep mine midtank under t-5s. Got them I guess 3 weeks ago and theres already 6 new polyps sprouting. Ive had em all over my tank at different depths and they seemed cool in all placments.
