Purple Setosa

I found a bunch of purple setosa frags. Unfortunately I found it while traveling and could not buy them. They were the color of Idaho grape monti cap but s smooth texture and had branches, plates and had completely encrusted the frag plugs. I wanted to read up on them, but can only find info on the orange variety. Anyone familiar with this species? I can't find it anywhere, I am considering making the drive and buying the whole lot!! It resembles orange setosa in every way except color, but could it be another species or go by another name?

Thanks in advance!

except Blue Ridge is an Octo, kind of gives itself away.

Looks similar to me

Just read it was a soft coral. I had what I was told was a blue ridge coral but I thought it was a hard coral... ?

Heliopora is pretty distinctive, and not very purple...

My first guess for misidentification would be something like a purple monster frag. They can be bright purple, amorphous, smooth, and with sparse polyps like a setosa. But if he was told it was a Montipora, then I have high hopes for it!

We will need photos!

Ok guys, I am going to make the drive. It is three hours from home, but now I am curious. Have camera in hand, so I will post a picture tonight.

I sent him a PM about it back in June and never heard back. His profile says his last activity was June 2nd, so I'm guessing he's not going to see this.
