Purple Softie ID Please

Can anyone ID this Purple Zoa (??) I'm wondering how aggressive it will be & if I need to start scraping it away from where I don't want it. Is that what I do, just scrape it away - seems like I would end up with this stuff all over then???

That's... not even remotely a zoanthid. That's what they call snowflake polyps, a xeniid. An extremely aggressive grower and one known to reproduce sexually in the aquarium (it's a hermaphroditic self-brooder).

Scraping it, yes, will cause it to spread.

Those are blue cloves and they spread like wildfire taking over your tank.

Another fellow reefer had the same issue. For me I placed Cyphastrea near it and it did back them off... All tho all it takes is just 1 japanese blue snow flake to start a colony....You could try and Kalk over them with the pumps off for a few mins.
