Purple Tang 90 Gallon

Does anyone know if a purple tang would be alright for a 90 gallon tank ive heard many different responses?

You want a purist answer or real life experiences? People will give you both sides of the argument. No one can really tell you an answer, but many will tell you what is recommended, and often it won't be what you want to hear.

Oh gosh I guess I want real life experiences, and do you have any advice on building a quarantine?

A purple will be fine in a 90g. Zebrasoma tangs in general aren't as "spastic" as tangs of other genera and have a relatively slow growth rate. Keep in mind however, that purples are known to be the most aggressive of the zebrasoma tangs (with that being said, I plan on getting one for my 120g once it's set up again). Good luck :beer:

My purple is happy in my 90g. If that's what you want, get it. Awesome fish.
