purple tang and banner fish your thoughts?

So I have been searching and have read some people had a yellow tang with a banner fish. And also multiple tangs with a banner fish. I have a 140 gal tank and I am thinking about getting a banner fish (heniochus d.) And a purple tang. Will they be compatible? The purple tang will be added last, should I get two heniochus d. To minimize the purple tang agression, if there is any?

I don't have any direct experience with keeping these two together but I would think you would be OK as long as the purple is added last.

You will have no issues if you add the tang last

Unlike so many of their chaetodon cousins, they will get their full size in a couple years. Mine went from the size of a quarter to 6" in less than 1 year. A 6" heni is a BIG fish... never mind that they get even bigger.

Echoing Peter, my pair of bannerfish grew 4" in less than a year. I may have to move them to my 375g once they get to 6".
