Purple Tang has lost its Color

HELP. Over the last month my purple tang has lost almost all of its color. It now appears almost white. However some days it appears to be more purple like his color is coming back, and then he goes back to being white. It looks terrible. What is wrong with him? All my other fish seem fine.

Fish can lose color when under stress. Make sure the water quality is OK - might try and diversify/improve its diet. Conflict with other fish as well as "overstocking" are also stress factors.

I would try and put him in a quarantine tank for a little while and see if he returns back to his normal color.
