purple tang has white blotches

my purple tang who has been with me for over a year suddenly developed white blotches on one side and fin on other side. it happened about 1 week ago but went away. now came back and looks like more than ever. need help to identify. thanks

It looks like ick or oodium, which can be treated with something like malachite green

ick i have seen before, which i dont think it is. oodium never heard of but will research it. thanks

Sorry, Oodinium is just an old name for Amyloodinium if that helps

all the blotches are gone. i did fire up the UV sterilizer last night but dont think that is the reason.
