Purple tang has worms?

Good day folks!

I noticed today that my purple tang has what appears to be some type of worm hanging from it's anus. Looks white, almost transparent. The tang is eating fine and acting normal. What is the best plan of action here? I dose my frozen food with garlic to help with parasites but obviouslly thats not working!
Thanks
Josh

Garlic does absolutely nothing to kill parasites. It may help with appetite, which can help the fish's immune system. Your fish probably has a worm-type internal parasite; Prazi-Pro should take care of it. PP is a very safe wormer that can even be used in the DT (it will kill feather dusters) and I think it should be used with all fish.

Thanks for the info. I have not seen any sign of worms since I posted this the other day. I may still pick up the prazi and treat the tank. I do have a giant feather duster worm but could remove it temporarily while the medication is working. What would be a good time duration to remove the feather duster for?
