Purple tang in QT

I have a purple tang that while it was in my QT , it had a break out of ick. It is now in its second week of being treated , by lowering the salinty. I noted that today its color is fading except for the lateral side of the fish. Need help confirming what is happening and what treatment is needed. Thanks

There is a chance that you are seeing it's night/fright colors. Purples are notorious for that. Are you using hypo for treatment, or just a part of therapy?

Hypo treatment in a 20 gallon tank. I also have a wrasse, small goby and a small hawkfish all doing well and all the fish including the tang are eating well.
