Purple Tang swimming in Circles

Hello to all ---

I have a Purple Tang that I purchased about 2 weeks ago. It was hiding in the rocks for several days before it decided to come out, which I know is normal.

Lately, for the past 3 days, it swims in tight circles near the surface. Is this something I should be concerned about?

The only other Tang I have in my reef system is a Sailfin Tang, which I have had for about 2 years.

Thank you for your help

Size of tank? Other inhabitants? Where did the tang come from?

It could be something to worry about or it might not be, it depends on other factors.

Tank is a 180 gallon Reef Tank. The other fish are a Sailfin Tang, Coral Beauty, Flame Angel, and a File fish. The Purple Tang came from the Red Sea.

Thanks

Not sure if it's being harassed or not by your sailfin? It is possible, which can make the tang stay near the top and avoid the rock and everything else.

I normally see that behavior of staying near the top when a fish is being harassed. Got a video maybe you could post of it?
