Purple tang

I just got a purple tang for free and it has whit spots on him its not it. Its like if he was losing his color? Is this a vitamin Deficiency? Also the fish is very active and eats?

My PT has had bleached out sections/spots on him before. They come and go sometimes and have never turned out to be anything besides maybe a living mood ring. If you just got him, he could be aggrevated from the move and not quite feeling at home in his new tank.

So you are QTing this fish?

A picture speaks a 1000 words. Lets see one. Tangs are prone Lateral line erosion also known as MHLLE. Could very well be that.
