Purple Tilefish

This is one of my favorite fish. I had some trouble getting pictures of this guy. He finally cooperated this evening. He appeared to be flashing as I was shooting the pictures. He eats like a pig and is out an about in the tank a lot of the time during lights on hours.

Nice fish. I had one that look just like that, however I think I lost it. I haven't seen it over a week. Before that was eating like a pig and would dive under a rock/burrow whenever it was scared.

I know they are jumpers but I have a completely covered tank and checked all around the tank and in the sump, with no such luck.

I have a net top over my tank so he won't be jumping. Mine never seems to get scared. He stole my Blue Spot Jawfishes burrow/cave. He is the biggest fish in the tank. I have has them in past tanks with pretty good success. I am hoping that it holds true with this guy. He is the nicest specimen that I have gotten.

Thank you... He is a pain to get good pictures of though. I never get bored watching him cruise around.
