Does anyone know where I can get those push-connect fittings that we use for our RO/DI tubing but for 3/4" vinyl tubing?

Ive looked everywhere online and Im not even sure they make it....the only ones Ive found are for harder types of tubing.

Or can you think of a way of quick connecting disconnecting for 3/4" vinyl tubing??

Eheim makes a ball valve/quick disconnect that will alow you to use it on 3/4" hose check it online under the canister filters adapers

Thanks Rogger! That's pretty cool and exactly what I needed....pricey, but effective and solves the problem....

The only other solution I have found is this.....

http://www.watts.com/pro/_productsFu...pid=3298&ref=1

the idea would be this:

tubing -> barb -> connector -> CPVC -> connector -> barb -> tubing

The guy told me it had to be CPVC because the outer diameter of 3/4" CPVC is 7/8" which is the same size as copper tubing which is what these quick connects are made for.

Is CPVC usable in the aquarium hobby?

Also, brass monkeys suggestion might work but it will look bulkier than i'd like.

Jgoal55;

I believe I have the units Roger showed in his reply that I am not using. I believe I also have two of the larger ones for 1" clear tubing too..

I just checked my closet and I have four of each of the following available that I am not using:
1) Eheim Double Tap Quick Release 0.50 inch/0.65in
2) Eheim Double Tap Quick Release 0.65in/0.90 inch

I will sell them to you at half the price Marine Depot is selling them for ($8 each for the 0.50 inch/0.65in & $15 each for the 0.65in/0.90 inch).

If you are interested, you could bring a piece of the tubing you are using to make sure they will work for you before you purchase and take them.

Let me know if you are interested.

So I guess you don't need to close the flow after you disconnect the hose? if you do, you will need to add a valve to one or both ends.

nope....no need to close the flow as these pumps will only be on when a WC is going on and there will be siphon breaks naturally in the lines

szhttm: I actually need one size bigger than what you have. I need the 0.75in/1.10. However, a very long trip to Lowes today I think solved my problem with some Vanguard products and some CPVC.

Thanks for all the help guys.

No problem!!! Glad to hear that you may have your solution.

Did you go to the Lowes just South of Kendall Drive and 137 Ave? I noticed that the Costcoo is no longer there and that a Lowes opened up at the location.
