Putting switch on recirc pump 1073.04

Good day Roger. I want to put a switch (the remote switch that uses a stacked plug) on my recirc pump to turn off water supply to my seahorse tank when feeding. Will this damage the pump or decrease life expectancy in any way? Regards, Jason

I think it should be fine. I don't know how much these remote switches are but you might consider our Foodtimer since it is foolproof. It automatically restarts the pump in 5 minutes so you can't forget.

That sounds like a better idea. Is that available by itself, or only in the multicontrollers? If so what is the stock number for it so I can have Bruce get it for me. Also can you tell me sug. retail on it? Thanks.

There is a seperate foodtimer for use with any pump up to 150 watts. I make them here because they only come in 230V and a modification is required. They cost $64.13 and it is article 7602. I have one ready to go.

Thanks for the speedy drop-off of this item. I was reluctant when I saw it because of all the plug adaptors. I was telling Aaron that my powerstrips look like the Griswolds in the Christmas Vacation movie, but I found a place for it and it serves its purpose well. My seahorses and me are happier with it! Thanks again, Jason
