PVC cement

Im redoing all my plumbing and my sump. How long should i wait before kicking the return pump back on and running tank water through the new connections? The oatey's pvc cement label says it cures in 2 hours but it has been longer than that and I can still smell it.

you should be ok, it'll smell for awhile.

I generally wait at least 15-30 seconds.

I think the container says 2 hours, but Ive also done it immediately
