Does anyone know the difference in regards to friction loss due to using a 90 degree elbow vs a 45 degree elbow (both 1 inch). In addition, if using multiples are losses added or multiplied.
In building my closed loop, I have a situation where a 90 degree will look better and be more functional than a 45 degree elbow however I realize that there will be a loss in water pressure. I am willing to take the hit if its not to great.
I was thinking of using the RC head loss calculator and seing the difference in water flow between pluging in 90 degree and 45 degree elbow?

I would at least use 90 deg sweeps if your gonna go with 90's.
