About this thread...I have learned that mixing aquarium glue with super glue gel works wonderfully. I use it for outside pipes and inside pipes. (if this is not a good idea, please let me know. I have had no problems with it at all) I don't want to give bad advice to anyone
*Sorry to say but this is not a good idea. The main reason is that PVC "glue" is actually not a true glue, its a bonding agent. When it is applied to the PVC it actually fuses the plastics together. Regular glues or silicone will not do this. I would not recommend using anything other than PVC glue or the correct type of Weldon that will bond PVC when putting pipe together outside the tank. Shoot thats what the stuff is made for why would anyone want to use something else in the first place?
