Got my first angel and it doesn't seem to have a taste for nori, is this normal? Although it likes to eat Formula 1 pellets and frozen mysis.

Try Angel frozen style that has the things they like, They are not Algae eaters as a main stay more like Clams,Krill, Squid, Mussels, Spinach Etc. You may have better luck with their prefeered diet, Mine loves that stuff.

Mine ate EVERYTHING. My Bi-color is the same way ( thank you, thank you Lord!).
I don't think it will be harmful if yours doesn't take to Nori as long as he is eating.

I don't know where you heard that they don't eat algae??? but most new fish don't recognize nori as a food right away. It takes some time usually. But all the C. argi I have ever kept have all taken to nori, and I keep the sides of the tanks dirty so they can graze all day long, and that's exactly what they do. Algae is a big part of their diet.

If you have other fish that will eat the nori, they will probably catch on, or soak it in something like garlic to get their attention.

Oh, and its a good idea to have productive Live Rock (not Base rock!) in your tank. I think this & occasional Norri clips help keep them from too much coral tasting..
