Pygmy angelfish help

Hi, yesterday I received fish for my tank and one of the fish was a pygmy angelfish. I tried to feed the fish and everyone tried to eat but wasn't really able to ACTUALLY eat except for my previous fish. The angel is really small about an inch long. He's very cute but he likes to go throughout the rock work but I don't know how to properly feed him. The tank doesn't have much algae for him to eat, I also read that people will feed him broccoli but I don't feel like that's natural. I have seen the sea weed strips but I don't know how to Encourage him to come out of the live rock long enough to eat it. He's not skittish but he defiantly doesn't go as far as my clownfish. Can anybody give me ideas on how to feed him? I'm open to any ideas! Also I forgot to mention that he stays with the purple dottyback a lot and he tries to eat but the dottyback steals it from him.

I have a pair of cherub angelfish (C. argi). The female is about the same size as your angelfish. I've found that Cyclo-peeze (I use frozen) and the nano-size Reef Frenzy make ideal small-fish food.

Also, how long has your tank been set up? Centropyge angelfish really need to be able to graze on diatoms, algae, and detritus, all of which are major food sources for them in the wild. A newly cycled setup isn't the best environment for these little fish.

Try this.

I defiantly should do a qt tank, I learned that the hard way a while ago. But I have no space for a extra tank, unless i putt multiple in a 10 gallon tank. But I feel like that defeats the purpose of a qt. And my tank has some diatoms not all over but it has enough. The tank has been up for a little while. Probably it's 4th month. Do you think I can tie a peace of a sea weed strip to a peace if live rock? I'm unable to go to my actual LFS right now. But I can go to petsmart and look at their small selection of marine food.
