Pyramid snails

Totally my own fault for not QT the Crocea clam I got, just saw 4 tiny snails on it, removed it.

So basically I have to repeat the process of taking it out of DT without exposing the clam to air, toothbrush clean the shell, cracks and gently on its mantle, place it back in and repeat every few days for 1 or 2 weeks?

Hopefully that's all. The problem with some pyramid snails is they are not only parasitic to clams, but also to other snails. I had a species of pyramid that somehow got into my tank and I never could get rid of them because they would latch on to my turbo snails, collonista snails, and even some hard shelled tube worms in my tank. Pretty much anything with a hard shell and the only fix is to bomb the whole tank. Hopefully you got them all out before they spread, but keep the clam in QT for a while to make sure there weren't any hidden eggs. Sometimes toothbrush cleaning won't get all the eggs off.
