How do i get rid of Pyramid snails....i take them out of the tank everytime i see one but they keep popping up. also, i dont know what there eggs look like so if anyone knows anything about that it would be helpful as well. i have heard a sixline wrasse helps. with that being said, would the wrasse hurt any of my other clams (i know most wrasses would). Are there any other solutions?

six line wrasses, Halichoeres melanurus(scientific name the most common name for it is tail spot wrasse), green coris wrasse and there is another wrasse that will do it too but I can't seem to remember the name. All of these are considered reef safe or reef safe with caution, not sure why some of them are with caution the six line is compeletely safe to my knowledge and the melanurus apparently may pick at hermit crabs but mine never has.

oh also the Halichoeres melanurus gets rid of just about anything bad that can happen in a tank they are fantastic and colorful little guys.

If you're finding them during the day chances are there are a more. You need to take the clams out, if possible and manually remove them, then scrub the shells. You'll need to do this multiple times. I think the eggs look like a gelatinous mass usually on the clam shell. Not sure if they are specific to clams or if they can live in a tank without clams.

Leporad Wrasse.. ;) IMHO
But-- each fish(like humans) has its own personallity..
All leapords I have seen enjoy and -- will eat small snails..
(and scarlet reef hermits :( )

Thanks everyone for your help. I think what happend is at my local fish store they have them in thier clam tank and when i bought other corals from that tank they got into mine...sorta of annoying since i was very new to the hobby then and didnt know i should inspect everything i get. anyway i just got this clam about a 3 days ago and its looking amazing based on my hours of clam readings. i try to take the little snails out everytime i see them and look at the bottom of the clam to see if the snails are eating the bottom of it. anyway thats for everything!!:) :) :) :)
