Specifically what types (technology) are used in the conductivity and salinity probes with the P3?

Hi

High purity laboratory grade and certified (yes it comes with a certificate) platinum tipped conductance, the ProfiLux software enables the reading of SSG and mS

Technology - A conductivity sensor has a known AC voltage passed from a "sending" side, through the solution being measured, and out to the "receiving" side. The current in the circuit is measured. Using Ohm's Law, V = IR, R, the "Resistance" across the water is calculated. Conductivity is = 1/R.

What are the recommendations about frequency of calibration (you're welcome to point me toward product literature)? What is the estimated life of the probe? Is there a concern for corrosion over time because the current doesn't switch from one pole to the other? Is the controller capable of relaying data via RS232 through the web using third party products?

Calibtration frequency depends on where the probe is located, if in a clean enviroment we recommed once a month

Estimated life of probe is anything above two years and beyond but depends if probe is kept in good order and calibrated.

Yes the controller comes with software which is free and also has the ability to be viewed and controlled over the web.
