I have a Radion, Reeflink, and MP10ES. I want to upgrade my MP10 so everything syncs, but I am not understanding the difference between the new Quiet Drive and just upgrading to the 'w' (other than the +$50).
For me, my MP10 has been awesome and almost completely sound-less. If I listen very closely I can hear the rhythmic pulsing sound of the pump, but it takes concentration on that to actually hear it, so I don't have the issues others talk about with noisy pumps at all. I even had a stomatella recently get stuck in the prop (now THAT made a horrible noise!!) but as soon as I flicked it out the pump went right back to silent as ever.
That said, I'm trying to find out if the only difference between this new QD upgrade and the original pump is just the promise of being more quiet and otherwise everything is identical?? I'm looking on the EcoTech website but it's very vague how this 'new and improved' version is really anything new or improved over the original.
Does anyone know the difference in these two versions beyond just one supposedly being more 'quiet'? I don't want to spend the extra $50 for the QD upgrade if just getting the RF module will give me the exact same device.
