QT and coral dips - been out a while...

Hi all,

I've battled AEFW and red bugs years ago so am well versed in Interceptor QT tank treatments and Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure dips. Considering I've been out of the loop a few years, I want to check a couple things with you all if I may?

1) Have any other disturbing pests come on the scene that I should also be proactive about?

2) Is there a better AEFW dip than TMPCC?

Thanks in advance for any & all wisdom!

Watch out for Montipora eating nudibranch. They are virtually impossible to get rid of once in the system.

Do not buy ANY "reef" "hobby" branded dips. ALL TRASH

These companies that make them need to go out of business. I lost my will to care about a montipora frag and left it sitting in a bath of coralrx overnight (double strength) and the nudibranches are alive and well. Coral died but I am going to nuke the remaining healthy 75+ SPS frags/colonies in my tank intentionally to start over. Once you have pests in a large reef, you DO NOT GET RID OF THEM....ever. You pretty much have to start from scratch!

Use Bayer and if you're not using a QT tank then you have might as well give up!

I am speaking from heart breaking experience, trust me.

Thanks for the feedback. I almost hit that point with AEFW years ago and am now pretty firm on dips and QT as pulling everything out of a display into QT after the fact is a headache I NEVER want to deal with again. I hope things turn around for you. I'd never heard of Bayer being used before but am finding a lot of praise for it so will be grabbing some.
