QT Cloudy

I have a QT set up treating my fish for ich. It has been running for almost 4 weeks with 1.009 salinity. I have a marineland bio-wheel HOB filter with carbon, but the water is cloudy. Fish are fine, ammonia is 0. Is there a reason anyone knows of for water to be cloudy?

Germantown - pretty close. Let me know. Did you ever find out why tank was cloudy. I want to use it for a new fish when my fish go back to DT, but don't know if cloudy water would hurt a new fish. I'd like to find out how to clear it up.

did u mix the salt properly ??? before putting it in ?

I think so. I mix in Rubbermaid trashcan at least 24hrs before I use it.

I'm sorry I don;t know wat cause the cloudyness, it's usually cause by improper saltwater mix. btw u could just try to change the water in the QT to see if it gets any better. And try to raise the salinity to 1.020 SLOWLY.

My salinity is at 1.009 to treat ich. My DT is a reef tank.

k, just like I said, u could just change the water in the QT, by 25% every week and see if the water will clear up... Good luck
