Alright, through some ridiculous circumstances i dont even want to begin to try to type out, The QT i had setup Holding a pair of citron Clowns got Cracked, Long story short i had to acclimate the citrons and put them in the DT. Obviously the DT has already been "compromised" so to speak and another QT is out of the question as it needs to cycle. My DT was already being Treated with cupramine and i was just beginning to lower the dosage as im coming up on 4 weeks. Now im thinking i might as well just ramp the Dosage Back up slowly and do another two weeks at the least. But im curious as to whether another 4 weeks seems better, my concern is it'd be a bit much on my fish that have already been in the Display with cupramine for 4 weeks. I figured 6 weeks doesnt hurt too much but gives me the benefit of another two weeks( since with ich the longest recorded surviving is 72 days.)

Obviously im going to get another QT set up asap but i figured since the fish are in the DT anyway and already acclimated to the cupramine i might as well treat them all there.

Thoughts on this?

Edit:forgot to mention the Citrons were in QT bout a week before this happened.

How stable are you able to hold the copper dosage in the DT? If rock solid, extending the copper treatment for an additional four weeks is not a problem. The only issue is that it must be at therapeutic dose in order to be effective. We have a couple of people that prophylactically treat in copper for the full 72 days in order to have 100% certainty.

Copper levels are rock solid at this point, had some trouble initially but imagine that was due to the substrate and live rock absorbing a portion of it, Haven't had to do anything beyond the initial Dosing besides Redosing fresh water im changing out to replace whats lost. I Still test twice a day to make sure levels don't dip.

If 72 days is doable i'll go ahead and let everyone sit for another 4 weeks.Luckily citrons are already feeding at this point and have been adjusted to the copper, Im considering dosing prazi as well but im not 100% familiar with how cupramine and prazi mix and since prazi can also suppress appetite and lower oxygen i dont want to push things with 2 fish suddenly added to the bioload.
