QT filter?

So I have a small 10 gallon filter for my small QT. It has filter cartridges that come with bio slits that make the tank instantly cycled. Now I would still have to replace the filters every 2 to 4 weeks like normal filters. Is this a good/OK idea or thing to do? I already started to cycle my tank and my QT is just sitting there with the filters ready until I get my first fish. Thank you

No filter cartridge will make your tank instantly cycled. How are you cycling? Btw I suggest you cycle the 10 right now as well.

Live rock and live sand has been in the tank cycling since Sunday the 12th is it too late to add something in the DT for the QT bio filter? I have a bio wheel in the DT could i possibly use that? If not what could I use?

I run a filter sponge on my display and wring it out into the quarantine whenever I need one. This will provide an instant cycle.
