QT flame hawk and firefish at once?

Could you quarantine a flame hawk and a firefish in a 20g at the same time? I'm headed to the store tomorrow to get a flame hawk, and wondering if i could pick up a firefish as well and treat them at the same time for a month or so.

It's less than ideal, but should be fine so long as the hawk isn't too big/firefish too small.

I would definitely add a very small PVC "cave" that only the firefish can fit into, as insurance.

I found that adding a plastic aquarium plant which is easy to clean and breaks up the sight lines in the tank made my timid fish feel more comfortable.

LID!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dartfish (firefish) go airborne at the slightest excuse. Flame hawks can be pushy.

This would also make the flame hawk one of the first fish in the display tank eventually... My favorite Lfs has a handsome one for half off, which is why I'm thinking of adding him sooner than I originally planned (the original plan was to get 3 or 4 other fish before adding him). Is he going to be more headache than the $30 I'll save in getting him early? I'm also adding a LM Blenny, mccoskers wrasse, and diamond goby (a couple others as well but those ones are feisty too and I was going to add after the flame anyway). Is he going to pick on them?

Sk8r put it best... while hawkfish aren't overly aggressive, they can be "pushy". I could see an established flame hawk messing with a new blenny or goby. The size of your tank (?) also comes into play. Also know that hawkfish will sometimes eat ornamental shrimp. I had one that actually ate most of my snails before I figured it out.

Thanks! I won't be adding shrimp for that reason. It's a 75g tank. Thanks again everyone, sounds like I have some things to think about.
