QT for Macro Algae?

I need to get some cheato but worry about bringing in BAD things. What do others do to insure cheato and macro algae are safe?

I am probably going to order some from Live Aquaria when I get fish.

Rinse it in a bucket with tank water. if your worried.

I'm more worried about cysts of fish parasites.

Stick it in your frag tank for 72 days or buy from someone who qt's everything wet for 72 days. I bought some red macro a few weeks back and stuck in my frag tank. Later I will put it in systems with fish but not for a while.

+1 assume everything you get has disease. For inverts, corals and macro the only way to ensure that is have them in a fish less tank for at minimum 72 days. I personally like to go a little longer than 72 days. Honestly for macro a 5g bucket with a air stone and light would work for 72+ days
