I'm thinking about placing an order from LA -- I've been wanting a carberryi anthias and a bipartitus leopard wrasse since I set up my tank (and my partner wants a starry blenny), and 6 months in I think the tank is ready. The 75g DT is stable with a decent pod population in the fuge, and I plan to add more cheato and pods now so that by the time the wrasse is ready for the DT there are even more. Current tank inhabitants are a female lubbock's wrasse, royal gramma, and 2 small ocellaris clowns, plus quite a few inverts and other small critters.
So... first the QT. In the past I have done tank-transfer with all fish, and then observation and sometimes prazipro for another few weeks. Should I do the same with all 3 of these fish in the same tanks (a 10g and 20g)? I know about using a tupperware of new sand for the leopard in each tank, so that's not an issue.
Alternative is to QT the leopard in her own 10g tank, not do TT on her, observe for 1-2 weeks, and then treat with prazipro. I can concurrently do TT and observation with the anthias and blenny together in buckets or other small tanks.... but doing two separate tank transfer operations would just be insane (and I don't have enough heaters and other stuff to make that possible).
It doesn't seem like ich is a big concern w/ leopards, but worms might be, so she's getting prazipro no matter what. Thoughts about whether I should have her go through TT with the other fish or just keep her in her own tank and skip the TT part of QT?
