QT or not?

I think my yellow tang might be comming down with ick he has a couple of off color spots around his eyes. He is still a very active swimmer and will always eat. The guy at the lfs told me as long as he is eating and remains active to leave him be and see if he comes aruond. So far none of the other fish are showing any signs of illness. Should i soak food in garlic or just QT him do a copper treatment?

Always qt every fish you purchase--do not listen to LFS reps

Unfortunaetly you are into a situation where all your fish have been exposed to the ich on the tang.
If ich breaks out in the tank then you will have to qt all your fish and keep the tank fishless for 8-11 weeks to get rid of the ich for good.

off color spots? can you explain a little more. if it is reddish it could be a bacterial infection. a pic. would be better though.

always make sure what the problem is before treating.
