QT preventative for Anthias?

I had a little miscommunication with my lfs, and he has a Fathead / Sunburst Anthias waiting for me at the store, which I will be picking up tomorrow. (I requested it, but it thought he would check with me before he ordered.) That issue aside...

I will pick up the fish tomorrow and place it in QT. The problem is that I am leaving for vacation in 4 1/2 weeks, so I need to take extra precautions to be sure that this fish is healthy and can go into the display before I leave for vacation--hopefully a little earlier than my usual 30 days so I will have time to observe the fish in the display.

Usually, I just treat quarantine as an observation period and only treat when necessary, but is there any particular disease that anthias tend to pick up, that I should treat preventatively?

Tank Transfer for Ich directly from the LFS bag. - 12 days
Prazi Pro + observation in QT after TTM until you leave.
This will take care of ich and flukes but may not be enough observation time to rule out Brook and/or Velvet

If you are unfamiliar with TTM (tank transfer method) there is a great thread in the fish disease forum here.

TTM is very simple and if done with a strainer and not a net is not stressful for the fish compared to copper or Hypo

I am in the middle of my first TTM right now and it is very easy and if done correctly is %100 effective for ich in just 12 days.

I have kept countless anthias over the years. They are not particularly succeptuble to the typical skin parasites like ich and velvet, though in recent years I have seen some issues with flukes.

Thanks, guys. I just finished TTM and Prazi, and all looks good. I'll spend the next week and a half raising salinity and trying to get the fish to take pellets. Then I'll put it into the display so I'll have a week and a half to be sure it's eating okay in there

Good to hear. I would like to add some anthias in my next tank, so I'm interested in hearing how this all goes for you.

I'll be sure to update. In this case, I'll have to say, "do as I say and not as I do" in reference to my shorter QT time. Since I'm kind of in a tight spot, I had to make a decision that was basically the lesser of the evils, and just pray that nothing bad comes of it. So far the fish seems happy and healthy!

Yes, it does! The Anthias passed quarantine with flying colors and is very healthy in my display

... I'll add that he never accepted pellets, but it's not a big deal. I have someone who can handle it enough for me to take a week vacation when I want.
