I purchased a large colony of eagle eyes, but they were infested with nudis, When i got them home i did a FW/Lugols dip and scraped all visable eggs...they have been in Qt for 2 weeks,
Two weeks should be fine, but i would keep them in for another week just to be safe. How are they looking? Any visible signs of possible nudis? Before you put them into your display tank, I would dip them again just for peace of mind.
Yea they are open now and looking good, i will do another dip prior to placeing them in my tanks, just am trying to get an idea of eggs i may have missed and hatching...thx
When I had the nudis I Qt for 3 months. I know thats overkill but no one knew for sure how long it took for the eggs to hatch (in case I missed some). I actually wan't trying to kill the nudis in the Qt since they were mostly gone, I was trying to starve and kill any remaining nudis in the main tank before I put my zoos (and their only source of food) back in. I lost some very nice and expensive colonies so I didn't want to take a chance
