QT Sailfin Mollies?

I'm thinking about adding some sailfin mollies to my frag tank to help with algae control. Just wondering if I should QT them the same as any other fish? I typically do 4-6 weeks, prazipro for a couple of days then copper for 4 weeks, run carbon for a few days to get rid of copper and then into the DT if all goes well.

given you won't truely know the history of those fish (where they have been, what else has been exposed to the water that they have shared, etc), it is always wise to put every fish through QT. So my vote would by yes QT them.

If they come from a pure freshwater system they should be clear of the usual parasites (ich, velvet, brook). Though they may have intestinal parasites (nematodes are quite common with some freshwater fish, especially wild caught cichlids). Also many bacterial, viral or fungal diseases have no problems to survive and spread in both, salt and freshwater.
So QT is always a good idea, unless you know precisely where these fish come from and where they have been all throughout their lives.

Thanks, so the procedure should be the same? Using copper, prazi will not harm them anymore than traditional marine fish.

I wouldn't use copper. If you got them from a freshwater system and acclimated them to saltwater by adding fresh saltwater to their tank they should be clean of ich, velvet and brook. And copper does nothing against bacteria or viruses.
