I am setting up a 180 SPS reef. I have a 29g that has been setup but a few months. Would this be large enough for a QT? I plan on having.... 5 chromis, pair of clowns, a trio of wrasses (same type), Powder brown tang and I think thats about it. So would a 29 be able to house these one at a time If I did alot of water changes and had a good skimmer?

Yes, but as stated, for best results, you should quarentine the tang by itself. You could get buy quarentining some of the smaller fish together. I like size 29 tanks for quarentining as long as the fish you keep in it is no larger than 3 inches. I don't care to buy real large fish. They grow fast enough for me and I think smaller/younger fish are easier to quarentine as they have more swimming room, produce less waste, are more likely to accept food, etc.

I use a 29 gallon qt. However, as noted, the tang should be small/medium size. Of course, really small tangs (less than 1") do not do well in captivity. I would qt a 3" +/- tang in that size qt.
