QT Tank After Ich

Hi, After quarantining a new fish which died soon after from Ich I'm wondering should I:

a) Keep the QT tank at a low salinity for 6 weeks?

b) Bleach the QT tank and let it dry (for how long if this way).

or what else should I do to make sure there is nothing in the tank to infect another new arrival.

Thanks in advance for any help.

ich needs a host to stay alive. 6-8 months with no fish in the QT should be enough to kill ich.

Just checking but do you mean 6 - 8 weeks?

Just clean out the QT with a little bleach, let it dry then set it up again. What, are you going to wait 3 months before you get another fish?lol

Does saltwater ich survive in fresh water? Meaning, if you completely empty the QT and all the equipment, and then clean everything with tapwater, shouldn't that kill any ich in the tank?
