I am setting up a 10g qt for my 24 nano. The last fish I put in had a little ich and it is getting worse and spreading. I need to put them all in a qt asap! I don't need to cycle, if its just water and fake rock decoration, right? No sand or anything. I bought an AquaClear power filter that does 100gph. It is suggested for up to a 20g tank, so I figured I'd rather have more than enough. 1: should I have it on full flow rate, because it is adjustable to 50%, and 2: I was going to use Copper to medicate, so should I leave out the carbon and just put in the foam insert and "BioMax filter insert", and maybe 2 weeks into the copper med, put in the carbon to take out the copper and let the fish sit for another 2 weeks? What are the requirements as far as water changes and such. I was figuring changing a gallon a week while they were in there and once they are out, I would leave the filter running, but no lights on and no water changes..any input? Just hate to do maintanence on something with no livestock! Sorry this is so long. I appreciate any suggestions! Thank you!
