QT / Tank Transfer Question

I normally do tank transfer in 5 gallon buckets. However I have more fish than I normally purchase coming in together. Harquin Tusk, Emperor Angel, Powder Brown Tang & 5 anthias. I only have 2 20 long tanks for QT. Was thinking of doing the anthias in a bucket and the 3 other fish all together tank transfers in the 20's. Think it will be too stressful for those 3 in a 20 long together for 2 weeks?

Just split the PB and emperor up in different 20g and put the tusk in with the anthias if the tusk isn't huge. Skip the 5g bucket. Well if you only have 2 20gL you may have issues doing this. Am I interpreting this right, you have 2-20g tanks and several 5g buckets and you want the emperor,PB and tusk in one 20g and the anthias in a 5g bucket so you still have a clean 20g to transfer to?

Dmorty, correct. I would keep 1 of the 20-longs empty for the next transfer. So I was thinking the emperor, PB & tusk doing their transfers between the 20g tanks....while the anthias just used 5g buckets. I'm thinking that would be kind of less stress compared to 8 fish jammed in a 20.

I also have a 40B sitting around, I guess another option is all in the 40B and then split them between the 20's while the 40B gets cleaned again.
